Girls of Marvel and DC

Left to right: Power Girl, Supergirl, Spiderwoman, Black Canary, Emma Frost, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Black Cat, Psylocke & Ms. Marvel. I almost completed this commish then stopped and looked at what I had there (ten women jockeying for space, hands on hips, staring at the viewer and looking hawt... or whatever). It was stiff and just plain BORING. I trashed it and started again from scratch. I thought I could turn around something better.
 
After staring aimlessly at my sketch pad (for you don't even wanna know how long) and doodling with poses and compositions for that many characters on a DPS, I finally hit on an approach that better suited my... style, sensibility, whatever disorder it is I have. By treating the shot like the lady capes were goofing off at a photo shoot and having them interact with each other, I felt like it finally had some energy and personality. So, this is the result.
 
It's a shame this scan isn't richer. The stippling I did on Black Canary's sleeves was MONEY!
